EasyCD Ejector is a program to open and close cd-rom drives and to ejectother removable media like ZIP drives. It can install an icon in thesystem tray near to the clock from which you can operate it. You'realso able to see whether there's a disk inserted or not. With the useof hotkeys you can open and close your drives from the keyboard. Anoption let's Easy CD Ejector eject all media at Windows shutdown, soyou won't forget your disks in the drive.
